Steps

  1. 1 Base coat the skin on both wizards with Cadian Fleshtone.
  2. 2 Base coat the pants and sleeves with Innsmouth Blue, the tunic with Yellow Ochre, and the cape with Purple.
  3. 3 Base coat the hair with Brown Sand.
  4. 4 Base coat the leather belts, boots, and bracers with Bosh Chesnut.
  5. 5 Undercoat the staff with Rhinox Hide, and base coat the headband with Mephiston Red.
  6. 6 Paint the non-gold metal pieces - the cape rings and belt elements - with Silver, and the staff head, pouch buckle, belt buckle, headband, and bracer and boot buckles with Gold.
  7. 7 Highlight the hair by mixing in progressively more Deep Yellow over the Brown Sand base, painting along the grain and brightening toward the crown.
  8. 8 Paint the eyes: fill the sockets with Rhinox Hide, fill the whites with Offwhite, add a Rhinox Hide pupil line, then clean up the edge with the skin tone.
  9. 9 Wash the skin with Reikland Fleshshade (avoiding the eyes), the leather and gold metal areas with Agrax Earthshade, and the hair with Seraphim Sepia.
  10. 10 Highlight the skin - cheekbones, nose, forehead, chest, and finger knuckles - with Cadian Fleshtone, then brighten further by mixing in Kislev Flesh over progressively smaller areas.
  11. 11 Freehand a star-and-tooth pattern design onto the tunic using Scrag Brown thinned with flow enhancer.
  12. 12 Mix Mephiston Red into Cadian Fleshtone for the female wizard's lips, and thin Drakenhof Nightshade into a glaze for the male wizard's five o'clock shadow.
  13. 13 Highlight the cape by mixing in Braineater Azure, then a brighter pass of Lendanis Grey, then reinforce the shadows and folds with a thinned Druchii Violet wash.
  14. 14 Highlight the tunic's freehand design with a Jokaero Orange and Scrag Brown mix, then highlight the rest of the tunic (mixing in more Lilith Yellow) and the leather bits (mixing in Yellow Ochre).
  15. 15 Highlight the blue pants and sleeves by mixing in progressively more Lendanis Grey, finishing near-pure, then wash around all the silver areas with Nuln Oil and paint the bases with Hull Red.
  16. 16 Finish by highlighting all the gold areas with Glorious Gold, including a dry-brushed pass on the staff.
