How to Paint SKELETOR- Masters of the Universe: Clash for Eternia
In this video I show you how I painted Skeletor from CMON’s Masters of the Universe: Clash for Eternia board game.
Steps
- 1 Prime the miniature black, then zenithal-prime with grey and white from above; fill the mouth, eyes, and nose sockets with pure Black.
- 2 Base coat all the skin with Ahriman Blue, then base coat the skull face with Lemon Yellow, building up several coats for coverage.
- 3 Glaze Tesseract Glow over the whole skull and let it pull into the recesses for a green tinge, then apply Nuln Oil to bring back detail; reapply Lemon Yellow highlights, and reinforce the darkest recesses and teeth gaps with Black.
- 4 Base coat the hood with Royal Purple, then mix Royal Purple with Leadbelcher for the chest armor, boots, and staff; base coat the underpants with Black Grey.
- 5 Highlight the skin muscle by muscle with layers of Flayed One Flesh mixed into Ahriman Blue, thinning the mix as it gets lighter.
- 6 Wash Drakenhof Nightshade selectively between the muscles and on undersides, and to separate the underpants and boots from the skin.
- 7 Highlight the armor with a mix of Royal Purple, Silver, and a little White, edge-highlighting straight surfaces and overbrushing the staff head's texture, then push the brightest areas with more white and silver.
- 8 Highlight the hood over many layers with a mix of Royal Purple and Azure, working toward almost-pure Azure on the edges to frame the face, then glaze thinned Royal Purple over the transitions to smooth them.
- 9 Highlight the top of the loincloth fur with white mixed into Black Grey, then cover the whole loincloth with Black Ink to unify it and add subtle contrast.
- 10 Glaze a mix of Royal Purple, Leadbelcher, and Black into the darkest shadows of the armor.
- 11 On the Panthor-mounted version painted alongside, base coat the back sword with Natural Steel, wash with Black Ink, then highlight the upper areas and blade edge with Silver.
- 12 Give Skeletor glowing eyes: dot Bloody Red into each eye socket, then add a smaller dot of Lemon Yellow mixed into Bloody Red at the center for a bright orange core.
