How to Paint SEBILLE - Divinity Original Sin: The Board Game
In this video I show you how to paint Sebille from Divinity Original Sin: The Board Game, using only the Vallejo Game Color paints that were included with the Kickstarter paint set.
Steps
- 1 Base-coat her face and all the exposed skin on her arms with Cadmium Skin, using a couple of coats for coverage.
- 2 Mix a desaturated green from Beasty Brown, Goblin Green, and a touch of black; base-coat all the fabric parts of her outfit, including her upper legs, arm wraps, and neck collar.
- 3 Base-coat the hair with pure black as an undercoat for the brown to come.
- 4 Mix a dark grey from Stonewall Grey and black; paint the loose, hanging pieces of fabric on her outfit.
- 5 Paint the leg straps with pure black.
- 6 Mix a metallic green from Goblin Green and Chainmail Silver; paint all of her metal armor, including the leg armor, braces, right arm, breastplate, and back armor.
- 7 Mix a desaturated red from black and red for the small red-accented areas on her abdomen and back (optional detail).
- 8 Paint the knives and the exposed handles in her hands with pure Chainmail Silver.
- 9 Wash all the skin with Flesh Wash, then wash everything else with Black Wash.
- 10 Paint the base's runes and designs with Dead White, then dry-brush all the armor with the metallic green mix to pick out the edges.
- 11 Highlight the green fabric with a mix of black, green, and Sun Yellow, progressively adding more yellow and covering a smaller area with each pass.
- 12 Highlight the red accent area with a brighter red-and-black mix, and the grey fabric with a lighter grey on the edges and upturned folds, then knock the highlights back with thinned black in the recesses.
- 13 Build up the hair from a dark black-and-brown mix through progressively lighter brown-and-white highlights, then re-shade the recesses with darker mixes to add volume.
- 14 Paint the eyes with ivory whites, black pupils, and an outline in the hair-brown color, cleaning up the shape with Cadmium Skin, then highlight the rest of the skin with Cadmium Skin plus a touch of Warlord Purple, marking finger separations with a bit of brown.
- 15 Mix a maroon for the lips from Bloody Red, black, Cadmium Skin, and Warlord Purple, then shade the skin with a thin wash of Flesh Wash and a drop of Warlord Purple in the shadowed areas.
- 16 Finish the base by dry-brushing black over the white runes and painting the rest of the top and rim black, edge-highlight the blades with Chainmail Silver, and add final thinned-black lines between material transitions, eyebrows, and a small facial tattoo.
