Steps

  1. 1 Base coat the small areas of visible skin - the hands and back of the neck - with Kislev Flesh.
  2. 2 Base coat the coveralls with The Fang.
  3. 3 Fill in the mask's eyes and the knife handle with black, and base coat the shoes with Black Grey.
  4. 4 Base coat the iconic mask with Offwhite, and base coat the hair with Mournfang Brown.
  5. 5 Base coat the knife blade with Silver.
  6. 6 Build up two stages of highlights on the coveralls by mixing Russ Grey into The Fang, focusing on raised folds and pockets and covering a progressively smaller area each pass.
  7. 7 Highlight the boots by mixing Offwhite into Black Grey on the toes and heels, boosting it with more Offwhite, then use the same mix to highlight the knife handle.
  8. 8 Coat the entire outfit and shoes (skipping the hands and head) neat with Nuln Oil to deepen shadows and grime it up.
  9. 9 Shade the hands and the skin on the back of the neck with Reikland Fleshshade.
  10. 10 Paint the base with Kantor Blue, matching the character's color in the game artwork.
  11. 11 Highlight the hands by reapplying Kislev Flesh while avoiding the recesses between the fingers and at the wrist, then boost the knuckles and upper hands with a little more Kislev Flesh mixed in.
  12. 12 Shade the hair with Agrax Earthshade, then apply it over the whole face to grime up the mask and selectively into the creases of the clothing for dirt.
  13. 13 Add Blood For The Blood God to the knife blade, onto the hands and fingers, and dripping down from the base, then flick extra droplets across the whole miniature with a loaded synthetic brush.
  14. 14 Once the blood dries, highlight the face again with Offwhite, avoiding the eye recesses, under the nose, and the mouth.
  15. 15 Highlight the hair by mixing Offwhite into Mournfang Brown, brushing in the direction of the sculpted hair and keeping the highlight to the upper portions.
  16. 16 Reapply Agrax Earthshade to bring back some of the shadows lost in the highlighting.
