Steps

  1. 1 Prime the miniature entirely in white.
  2. 2 Block in the eyes with Purity White as a base to build on later.
  3. 3 Mix Resurrection Flesh, Kislev Flesh, and Moonray Flesh for the skin tone and paint the small areas of visible skin around the face and eyes.
  4. 4 Draw tiny iris circles with a black Micron pen, then fill the centers with Hiril Blue, leaving a thin black outline ring.
  5. 5 Base coat the utility belt and chest bat symbol with Averland Sunset, then follow with three to five coats of Yriel Yellow for the final bright yellow.
  6. 6 Paint the cape, gloves, and boots with Stegadon Scale Green, also using it on the back and top of the headpiece but leaving the front unpainted.
  7. 7 Base coat the rest of the suit — arms, legs, body, and chest — with Cold Grey, cutting in carefully around the bat emblem so the poor-coverage yellow isn't disturbed.
  8. 8 Mix Chink Orange with Scarlet for an orangish-red hair color and apply several thin coats.
  9. 9 Paint the front of the mask in pure black.
  10. 10 Add lipstick to the bottom lip with Scarlet.
  11. 11 Thin black paint with flow enhancer and add dark linework between every costume transition, cape fold, finger, lip, and eye white to sell the cel-shaded look in place of highlighting.
  12. 12 Paint the base with Averland Sunset to match the Bat Family faction color, dark-lining around the feet as you go.
  13. 13 Finish the base by painting the rim in Decay Black.
